Clamp
Hold pieces still while you cut, drill, fit, or glue them.
Get to know it
A clamp can act as another pair of hands, provided the bench and work remain stable. Use scrap pads to protect finished surfaces. Arrange clamps before applying glue so you can reach them without moving the joint.
Use enough pressure to hold the parts without crushing them. Binder clips suit paper and thin cloth; they do not replace a woodworking clamp during drilling or sawing.
