Ease a sharp edge, smooth a grip, or adjust a close fit.
Get to know it
Wrap abrasive paper around a small flat block when you want a flat surface. Fold it or use a suitable rounded support for curves. Start gently and check often: sanding removes material and cannot put it back.
On clean wood, work along the grain for a smoother surface. Rounding a handle edge can make it more comfortable without changing the whole design.
